Global Goals for
Sustainable Development

In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these goals are achieved it will mean an end to climate change by 2030. 

Our partnerships guide what we do and how we work. Since 2020 we have partnered with Support the Goals to align our business to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

What are we doing?

  • 0% to landfill commitment
  • Refurbishing technology
  • Promoting the circular economy
  • KOcycle process over 150K assets per annum all with the same focus on reuse or fully compliant recycling, preventing any of these assets reaching landfill
  • We provide clear and tangible reporting on the consumption and production of  technology including highlighting the carbon, mineral and water saving related to technology reuse
  • Promoting awareness of the impact of technology through reporting
  • Partnering with leading standards to commit to clear and tangible goals

How are we doing?

 

  • We have planted over 50,000 trees since our inception, 28,000+ over the last 12 months helping to sequester over 60,000 tonnes of CO2
  • Reviewing our own internal environmental impact and aligning our business to our carbon reduction plan
  • Supporting the great work of the Climate Coalition to increase awareness

  • Promoting carbon sequestering, planting over 28,000 trees over the last 12 months

  • Providing insight into the impact of technology on our planet

  • Planted over 50,000 trees since our inception, 28,000+ over the last 12 months helping to sequester over 60,000 tonnes of CO2

Our purpose is what drives us forward at KOcycle. From day one, we have always focused on doing great things with technology and using technology as both an enabler and a way of giving back. We regularly review our impact as a business on both internal and external stakeholders including our employees, customers and broader society as a whole.

Environmental

KOcycle is a company that truly cares about the environment. We actively support becoming carbon neutral and ultimately, carbon positive. Last year we helped to support reforestation projects around the world, planting over 22,000 trees.

Social

Technology does not discriminate, so why should we? We at KOcycle believe access to information should be the next human right. We actively promote digital inclusion with the hope to end digital poverty.

Governance

We hold ourselves to the highest standards… These are the standards we expect, as should you. Everything we do aligns to a set of standards whether that’s being a Support the Goals partner and aligning to the UN standards or a Techies Go Green Signatory and working closely with The Climate Coalition.
